Question 1 of 7
Question 1 of 7
A door opens. Something you want becomes possible: a role, a project, a relationship, a leap. What happens first?
Pick the one closest to you, even if a few feel true.
AResearch it. I start mapping what I would need to know and plan before I could begin.
BRead the room. I start weighing what people would think if I went for it.
CPulled away. Whatever is urgent pulls me back before I can act on it.
DHas to be perfect. I want it, but I would not put myself forward until I could do it flawlessly.
ENot for me. I assume someone more capable is the real fit, so why put myself forward.
FI go for it. I feel the fear or the doubt and take a real step toward it anyway.
Question 2 of 7
Something goes well and you get credit for it. Your gut reaction?
Pick the one closest to you, even if a few feel true.
ABrush it off. I credit luck, timing, or the team, not myself.
BWonder why. I feel pleased, then wonder what they really want.
CYes, but. I take it, then fixate on what was not quite right.
DNot done learning. I appreciate it, but I am focused on all I still need to master.
ENo time for it to sink in. It is gone by tomorrow, buried under the next urgent thing.
FI take it in. I let myself feel good about it.
Question 3 of 7
You have to speak up for what you are worth: ask for the raise, set your price, say what you bring. What comes up?
Pick the one closest to you, even if a few feel true.
AWho am I. It feels like claiming more than I am.
BSounds like bragging. I worry that people will judge me for it.
CProve it first. I gather evidence and benchmarks before I will say a word.
DLet the work speak. I would rather it show, once it is good enough to be undeniable.
EIt waits. I mean to, but something more urgent always jumps ahead of my own ask.
FI say it plainly. I know what I bring, and I can name it without apology.
Question 4 of 7
You get some hard feedback, or something does not go the way you hoped. What happens inside?
Pick the one closest to you, even if a few feel true.
AKnew it. It confirms the doubt I already carry about myself.
BAre we okay. I worry whether they still respect me, or still like me.
CBuild a fix. I work out exactly what went wrong and plan so it cannot happen again.
DReplays at 2am. I turn it over for hours, even years, wishing I had done it better.
ENo time to process. I mean to sit with it, but the next fire pulls me away first.
FI use what helps. I feel the sting, keep what is useful, and let the rest go.
Question 5 of 7
You are stuck on something, and someone could help. What do you do?
Pick the one closest to you, even if a few feel true.
ALook it up first. I go hunting for the answer myself before I would ask anyone.
BAsk carefully. I ask, but I frame it so it does not look like I am struggling.
CPush through. There is no time. Explaining it would take longer than doing it alone.
DNot in this state. I would not show it to anyone until it is presentable.
EAsking proves it. Needing help feels like evidence that I am not up to this.
FI ask. I say what I am stuck on and let someone help.
Question 6 of 7
Something turns out to be harder than you expected. What does the difficulty tell you?
Pick the one closest to you, even if a few feel true.
AI am not cut out for it. The struggle feels like proof I am the wrong person for this.
BI have not got it right yet. I keep working it until the difficulty goes away.
CI have not learned enough. I go back to studying before I try again.
DI should check with someone. I want to know whether other people find it hard too.
EI will come back to it. It gets set aside for whatever is urgent, and it stays there.
FThat it is hard. Difficulty comes with anything worth doing, so I keep going.
Question 7 of 7
Be honest. If the thing you want most still has not happened, the truest reason is...
Pick the one closest to you, even if a few feel true.
AKept preparing. I planned and researched it, but I never started.
BFollowed the expected path. I let other people's views steer me more than my own.
CStayed in survival mode. I was busy with what was urgent, not what mattered.
DKept polishing. I had it nearly ready, but it never felt good enough to share.
ENot my place. I did not believe I was the right person to do it.
FIt's already moving. I have been taking steps, and it is underway.
